Yesterday was "Tim's Patented Tokyo Tour" for the guy that I'm here with this
trip. As is usually the case, we went to Asakusa Temple, then to Akihabara, then
to Shinjuku for lunch, and we had juuuuuuuuuuuuust enough time to go to Harajuku
since...well....it's a Sunday and anyone that read my update from December knows
what Harajuku is like on Sunday!
While in Akihabara though, we were greeted by an interesting sight. On Sundays,
they block the streets off so you can walk down the middle of the street and
such. It's nice as usually it's PACKED with cars and crossing the street is a
pain sometimes. But as we were walking, we saw a big crowd in the middle of the
street. Curious we went to take a look and we were greeted by an interesting
(and I must admit, quite pleasant) sight of a girl in a skimpy dress posing for
pictures.
Woooo.
So we partook in picture taking too. I mean...it would have been rude if we just
walked away!!! ...right??? :)
The best part was...turns out she was there to attract people while other girls
in french maid outfits handed out flyers to everyone promoting a place called
Moesham. It's...a....um....Maid Beauty Salon.... Yes. You got it. It's a beauty
salon where men can go and get their hair shampooed and cut and massaged and
blow dried and even get a manicure by girls dressed up as French maids. And on
certain days of the month, there's special days where the girls may cosplay as
video game characters or dress up in school girl outfits, or even wear cute
little cat ears and a tail.
Don't believe me? Go to http://www.moesham.com!! It's worksafe....well...there's
pictures of girls in maid outfits but....yeah....*ahem*...anyway...
So now it's time for pictures.
So, here we have girl in Akihabara posing to draw in the crowd for the Moesham
Maid Salon.

Yes...that is a cel phone amongst other things in her
little pouch that she has clipped on to her garter belt. Hey, she has no pockets
on that little number she has on! :) And yes...those are
some truly fuzzy shoes!
But the best was when I moved to the back of her and actually saw the crowd
itself. Granted, yes...I was part of the crowd. But still....it was funny enough
that I had to take the picture. Remember, most of the people in the crowd were
just like me...just walking around and saw her. Oddly there were also a few guys
with some big impressive SLR digital cameras too. Like they KNEW she'll be out
here. Weird.
Anyway, here's the pic of what she's seeing. :)

Moving on now to Harajuku!
First off, if you missed my first update about Harajuku and some of the
explanation as to the kids hanging out there, please refer to my post from back
in December HERE.
With that out of the way, let's just say that this time, as it was warmer, there
were alot more kids there than last time. And much more of a cosplay element
than just the gothy/lolita girls.
However, the first girl that caught my eye was....interesting.

I guess Edward Scissorhands was kinda gothy... He looked like a Cure fan with
some serious nail care issues... But man...her "glove" is craaaazy. She made
those herself too. Just like most of the outfits you see in these pictures.
Here's an upclose look! She'll make Wolverine proud!

I was also quite impressed with dress that the girl below is wearing. Gone are
the days where goth kids just wore black and lace. Wow. Of course she was
talking all friendly like to a girl dressed up in a black lolita outfit so...it
was a nice contrast :)

A girl...or is it a guy???....being interviewed. Looked like an amateur
production though. Probably something focusing on the fashion and culture.

....uh...I had no idea that Nazis wore such big big BIIIG boots and had red
hair. Hm......
(btw...unlike Europe and the US, there really isn't much of a Jewish population
in Japan. Yes, the Nazis were horrible and committed unspeakable
atrocities...but dressing up as one doesn't have the same stigma here as it
would in the West.)

Rock on baby! No really...I'm talking to the baby...not the girls :) (the baby's
parents were here like us to check out the scene and wanted their baby in a
picture with the girls...)

Huh...the girl on the left is apparently a sexpot. I wonder if she knows what
sexpot really means...and why is there a skull and crossbones for a sexpot???
And I must say, the 2 piece pants the girl on the right is wearing is hot. I
think I should make one myself and wear it to work.... No? Awww.... (^_^)

Just a shot of 2 girls chillin'....I THINK the one of the left is a girl....I
think..... :)

HOLY SHIT! It's Picachu!!!!

Oh wait...never mind...just some cosplay/furry fetish girls...

A funky gothic lolita with some KISS-like makeup job :)

...and finally...what the HELL is this????? Even I have no explanation....not a
clue...... So....odd......

So there you go. Another Akihabara and Harajuku picture tour! Hope you all
enjoyed it!!
