Waaaaaaaay back in the spring of 1991, me and a few of my HS buddies along with Mr. Schindler (the coolest spanish teacher in existance) went to Cancun, Mexico for a week and a half on an Educational Tour. During that time, I was a stereotypical Japanese and took many many many pictures.
So, here are a few of the sights (maily ruins) that you'll see if you go to Cancun NOT
to be plastered and party during college spring break but to go and learn the culture and
the rich ancient history of this beautiful section of Mexico!

If you go to the Yucatan Peninsula, it'll be a crime to miss the Mayan ruins of Chitzen-Itza! Got some cool pictures of this place so it gets its own page!
One of the other big ruins in the area is Uxmal. A totally different environment than Chitzen-Itza, Uxmal is situated in a more wooded area. This gives it a much more mystical feel than the open flat land at Chitzen-Itza. Unfortunately, we go there during the late evening so the main pyramid, Pyramid of the Dwarf, is in the shadows....But here we go! Click on the image to take a cheap tour :)
