...and I'm very very scared...
Took a trip to Yuurakucho's Ginza Plaza for the Sanrio store there. It's
huuuuuuge and it's filled with that cat with no mouth and teeeny eyes. They have
everything you can possibly imagine with Hello Kitty and friends on it.
Hello Kitty is purely a brand image. There was never an anime or books or
anything. It was developed purely as a character to sell goods and the books and
such came afterwards. To that end, when I say everything, I don't mean just cute
little dolls or keychains and such. I mean EVERYTHING.
Here's some examples. Yes...if you want, you too can have a Hello Kitty house!
Starting off, here we have some Hello Kitty surge protectors (yes....surge
protectors....the stuff that's probably under your desk that you will never ever
look at unless you need to plug something in...).
Moving on, we have some portable DVD players, a stereos, a few phones, and an
alarm clock.
Sticking with audio type stuff, we have some Hello Kitty Minidisc players.
But nothing makes vacuuming more fun than with Hello Kitty!!
Or recording a home movie with a Hello Kitty digital camcorder or cooking with
Hello Kitty hot pot, coffee maker, toaster oven, or two types of toasters!
But to pick up little dust bunnies around the house, we have a handy mini cleaner
like a dust buster!
And if the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze is too boring in just a grey stand, we have
the Hello Kitty negative ion air cleaner.
Or cozy up with a Hello Kitty heater during the cold winter days.
