Travel day today. So 2 shots from the airport.

For the first shot, I always liked those leather pilot’s bag. I mentioned this on my FB profile but, I’ve gotten to the point where, if I see a pilot with a well worn leather pilot’s bag that’s seen some serious milage, all scratched up and almost falling apart, I feel reassured. But if I see one with a brand new bag or one of those more modern synthetic material bags? Not so much. I feel the same way about my own stuff. My wallet is 5 years old and falling apart and it’s FINALLY looking the way I want it to… I can’t wait until my leather camera bag starts to look all worn. :)

Mmmmmmmm…Girl Scout Cookies came in!! LOVE the Samoas both fresh AND frozen!! I’ve missed out the past few years due to my traveling…but not this year!! WOOHOO!

And 3 more of that pseudo HDR look in B&W. These are my coworker T’s cars that I photographed last summer! This is the one that turned out the best (I think) due to the dynamic sky.

So…since I’ve been doing this a lot lately…unless it’s such a crappy snapshot there is no way ANYONE would ever want to see it larger than this actual post, you can assume that all my photos will be linked to bigger versions…

Anyway…

So it seems winter might be ending soon. I could be wrong. It has snowed in April before. But it’s been kinda nice to see the snow melting away. However, to that end…I should really wash the car…the windows are FILTHY…either that or we just need one good day of rain.

On a similar note…I found this little bit of winter hanging off my street sign as the last chunks of snow melts away.

Today’s theme is “A peek at some extreme editing” – This is a combination of RAW adjustment, Photoshop, and some plugins including Topaz Adjust. I posted the original a while ago. What do you think? I’m not going for realism here (obviously).

I’ll do more of these over time. The B&W classic car from a few days back used a very similar method just without the color “pop” of these shots.

It was big band night at Brothers Lounge in Cleveland (right by Lakewood). I only found out about this recently with my friend G invited a bunch of people via Facebook to go see the show. Her BF is playing bass (you may remember him from the post a few months back for the Iron Maiden cover band – he was the kick ass bassist) and it was pretty cool.

Mojo Big Band plays there every Monday (except when there’s a special event) and I gotta tell you…they are really really good. You don’t get to hear this type of music live and they really did a great job! They managed to get together some pretty talented guys.

So, on with the photos. Each one you can click on for a bigger version.

The band. I had my GF1 and it was pretty dark but I got to sit right at the front so it helped. These guys had some serious set of instruments. One guy had a sax, a soprano sax, a flute, and an alto flute. Cool.

Of course, this being a bar, some drinks were enjoyed along with the music as well :)

It was a fun time. If you like jazz or big band, you should check it out. Only a $5 cover and it’s worth it!

Honestly? The show was so so. Nothing big and exciting. But we made it fun :D

Lunch at the Great Lakes Brewing Company. Mmmm. Good beer. Good food. And of course good company!

And to get ready for the auto show tomorrow, here’s a ridiculously post processed photo. I’m not a big fan of this level of post processing buuuuut some people like it and I admit it’s kinda neat. This photo was taken in July of last year. Oh, and this one you can click on for a bigger version!

Went out on Friday night. I don’t do that much anymore…ah well. Anyway, was at Dragonfly on W. 25th, then to Bier Markt, then back to Dragonfly. It was fun :)

Just 3 pics from then. I was not photo happy. Just thought I’d test out the low light capabilities and see how they turn out. Honestly? They are only “eh”…but I needed something to post for Friday!

Oh…they are holding a candle in the first one because I didn’t want to use a flash…
