…long day…
My day started when I woke up at 4:30am. Bullet train to Osaka. 5 meetings that were about an hour and a half or longer each. Another bullet train trip back to Tokyo and finally back at my room well past 11pm… Dear god…this was a hell of a Friday…
So. On to the photos. Yup. You can click on these for a bigger version!
A grittier photo of the Shinkansen (bullet train) platform around 5:50am in Shinagawa. It was early…too damn early to be in a suit let alone commuting…

After a full day of meetings all over Osaka, my coworker and I stepped into an okonomiyaki restaurant in the basement of the Shin Osaka station before getting on the bullet train home (or Tokyo…which is my home right now). We sat at the counter. Here’s some other businessmen having a beer and some good food after work.

Okonomiyaki literally means “grilled as you like it” but it’s basically like a savory Japanese pancake…or a pizza…kind of. It contains vegetables and egg and a meat component and you can choose your own filling and they will slather sauce over it. Hard to describe but damn good. Some places you cook yourself. Here they cooked it for you but then placed it on the hot plate you see right in front there for you to eat. Yummy.
