Another attempt at “scanner photography”. The first one was ok… But the second one worked out better :)

I need to experiment more with this.

My sister suggested this a few days ago and again today so I decided to give it a try.

It’s one of her bowls that she made in her pottery class that she gave to me as a house warming present when I moved into my townhouse. It’s very well made.

I took a photo of this a few months ago but decided to retake this with a different angle and view.

I finally decided to do something with my main home page. My prints are now proudly hanging at the coffee house along with my contact info, web site, and price. Soooo I figured I shouldn’t leave my main page looking like something a high school kid did on his spare time with notepad…

So. It is not live. The name? Still undetermined. Looking into it though. The current name was suggested by one of the few “artsy” coworkers I have that I trust :)

実は僕のウェブサイトはブログだけではないのです！でもホームページそのものはあまり使わないのでかなり古くすーーーーごく恥ずかしいほど下手にデザインされていました・・・

ただし今日僕の写真５枚を近くのコーヒーショップに飾ってもらい、名前とウェブページ、メアドと値段も書いておいたので、ウェブページだけでもプロ並みにする必要があるなと思いました。

で、やっと終わりアップロードしました！見てください！

名前はまだ完全に決まっていません。現在の名前は芸術的な友達がつけてくれたものですがこのままにするかどうかわかりません。でもページそのものがうまく動いているかどうかは試してもらえるとうれしいです。

This is slightly different than usual. It’s my first experiement with “photographing” using a scanner. Yup. My HP flatbed scanner. Ridiculously shallow depth of focus, it should be interesting what I can come up with…

The effect is interesting. I think I’m going to have to experiment with this more!

I have no idea why I never photographed these beauties up until now!!

Was at my friend H’s place to photograph some art her mom and dad did that she wanted to preserve in digital. Also handed over my canvas prints and framed prints to her sister who owns the coffee shop that it will go to :) Very exciting.

My canvases came in today! These are the ones hopefully going to the coffee shop. 12×18′s. They look really nice! If no one buys them, it’s ok since I’ll just hang them at my place rather than reorder! :)

Had to post one more. Butter Pecan Sundae from the original Honey Hut ice cream shop on State Road. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. So good! I got it to go. Even in the freezer bag, it was pretty melted so I had to put it in the freezer for a bit. It was delicious. Great great stuff.
