Well, the cousin and her friend made it and we are at the house in Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, FL. Tomorrow? Disney World. Wooo. Hooo.
Anyway, for today here are shots of the house.

Since this blog is just as much a portfolio as my gallery, here’s some previews about about 14 photos I did some B&W work on from the show this past weekend.
Overall the shots came out good in color but some shots just looked better this way. And since I shot with such high ISO, it had this natural graininess that I really liked for this type of very high contrast B&W style.

The view out of my window in my hotel. Standard hotel park just outside Orlando Airport. Going to take it easy tonight (aka watch TV and just be blaaaaah) and tomorrow my cousin and her friend gets in and we are off to the company house in Reunion, FL!

I have decided to go with the photo gallery that I have been testing and, to that end, I have finally mapped a new address to it so it is seamless with my blog and my personal web page.
この一週間テストをしていたフォトギャラリーを正式に使うことを決めたので現在使っているブログや個人のホームページと同じように名前を変えました。
This should be easier to remember.

Why am I, who travels all the damn time, posting a photo of my luggage? Because there is one key important thing in here. No suit! No dress shirt!! No tie! No slacks! No dress shoes! No tie clip! No little plastic thingies that I slip into my collar of my dress shirt! As indicated by the cargo shorts and the hawaiian shirt, it’s vacation packing! Woohoo!
…now…to make sure my cousin and her friend are not too twitchy about the swine flu…for godsakes…
I know it’s past 2am…but I wanted to upload the photos and I figured while I’m up I might as well do the photo of the day from Saturday.
The highlight (besides going over to a coworker’s house to play video games – thus the late night) was a show put on by the School of Rock here in Rocy River (yes, same name as the movie) and I went there to see a friend of mine’s 2 kids who play with the group. The show’s theme was “Guitar Gods” with songs by various bands including Van Halen, Led Zepplin, and even Pantera. Quite diverse.
So, here is her daughter Quinn looking cool playing the bass.
And her brother Dan belting out a tune.

Woohoo. I’m on vacation! Off to Orlando on Monday and not coming home until Monday the 4th! …now…I will also try to avoid the Blackberry. Try…
Anyway, today was a heat wave!! Remember…I walked through sleet from the parking lot to get into the office Wednesday morning.
Today? When I got home at 5:30pm?
85 degrees.
It’s like we went from a late winter to early summer with no spring in between! (not complaining mind you!).
This allowed me to open up my windows again for the first time in a while. And this called for a good beer.
Of course this made me a tiny bit tipsy…I’m such a lightweight now it’s pathetic.
