Spring Blossoms in Tokyo

Yup. It was a cloudy day and it looked like it was about to rain at any moment during many parts of the day but my outing with Dad turned out well with only a light drizzle near the end.

But putting that aside, this post is about 2 things. Yasukuni Shrine and, you guessed it, the flower that almost defines Japan – the cherry blossom or sakura. About 11 pictures in this post so click on the link for the rest.

Goooooo Japan!

Yes. Watching figure skating again.

Ooooh…Emily Hughes fell. Pity.

I think I realized why I thought she grew up to be a cutie. She kinda reminds me of Alyson Hannigan (Willow from Buffy) and I admit to having a possibly unhealthy obsession with her (ok…not that bad but still….). It’s like Alyson on Ice!

Oooh, and it’s her birthday today too (Alyson’s not Emily’s). Nice.

Oh yeah…ice skating. The first Japanese girl out of 3 went and she did ok but fell too. We’ll see how it goes. Gotta cheer on the hometown girls (^_^)
