Need suggestions on books!
Ooookay. So, as some of you may have read, I’m now down to about 3.5 days in the air between now and the end of the year. Wooo.
And even though I have 20 Playstation Portable games, I can shove 2 movies into my 1GB memory card in my PSP, an extra PSP battery, a 30GB mp3 player and 8 Nintendo DS games and a Nintendo DS Lite….13 hours at a time in a pressurized metal cylinder 33,000ft. in the air is a long ass time.
So I’m looking for a few good books. Fiction is good but non-fiction is good too. Something that will keep me occupied for maybe an hour at a time. Maybe more. Typically if I don’t have a book with me, I’ll stop by one of those airport bookstores since they usually have a pretty good selection of new releases good for travel out front. But it can be pretty pricey too.
Here are some past books I have read so you can have an idea of what type of books I’m looking for…
Another Day in the Frontal Lobe by Katrina Firlik – an entertaining and informative book about the life of a brain surgeon.
Death’s Acre: Inside the Body Farm by Bill Bass and Jon Jefferson – well…the title says it all eh?
Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris – we all know this one right?
Word Freak: Heartbreak, Triumph, Genius, and Obsession in the World of Competitive Scrabble Players – a very very bizzare, disturbing, and entertaining look at competitive scrabble.
So, any suggestions? I will listen to all suggestions :) No promises that I’ll read the book that is suggested but I’m always willing to listen! Oh, and since my next flight is this upcoming Wednesday, sooner the better!
Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaankyooouuuuu.
