Ok ok…I’m late on a bunch of pictures and stuff. Sue me. I’m tired….
So today was another day of meetings and such. Ended the day with a trip to Yuurakucho and the Sanrio store. Got stuff there, then went back to Kawasaki for more shopping.
We ended up at the 100yen store. It’s the equivalent of The Dollar Shore in the States. The difference being, unlike the ones in the US which is filled with utter crap, the one here is amazing. I mean…there are some high high high quality stuff here!!! The store is huge and has a large assortments of kitchenware, health and beauty supplies, stuff for the home, stationaries, electronics. I mean…it’s really simply amazing.
Of course we had a good dinner as well and we got back to the hotel around 8:40pm or so.
I then proceeded to pack the box that I’m shipping home. Most of the gifts and such I’m going to ship back home since it’s just too much…too heavy and too many. No biggie though as the office building that we go to has a post office on the first floor. Might cost a bit but it’ll save me a bunch of trouble lugging it home.
Anyway, the title of the post refers to the bath I took tonight. I saw the bath salts at a store and I got curious enough to buy it. It apparently contains, amongst other natural bath salt minerals like sulfur and such, it also contains germanium and chilli extracts. Apparently, according to the packaging, if I soak myself in this for 20 minutes, I will sweat out the equivalent of a 2 hour aerobic excersize! WOW!!
So, I did. It smelled a bit sulfury….there was a HINT of chilli when I smelled the water but I didn’t feel anything, and it wasn’t like as soon as I lied down in the tub I started to sweat my ass off. I’m not a big fan of baths but I can see the draw. It certainly is relaxing and it didn’t take me long to soak up to my shoulders and close my eyes and relax. Even the smell of the hot water helped to relax you. Sure there was that hint of sulfur but it wasn’t like the nasty well water smell as there are other salts in the water too.
After about 10 minutes though I did start to sweat. But at that point, I couldn’t tell if I was sweating because…well…the water was hot…or if it was indeed because of the germanium. I did do some internet searching on Germanium and apparently it’s being used in spas for detoxing and sweating…so maybe it was working.
All I know is, after 20 minutes, I did end up sweating a decent amount and after rinsing off in the shower, I did feel pretty refreshed and relaxed. That was at 10pm-ish. It’s now 11:20pm and my eyelids are heavy….
Time for bed.
Wooo.
